Summer School 2025

Spend one week intensively working on your own photography project

This summer, I’m opening the doors of my daylight studio in Utrecht for the very first edition of the Summer School. For one week, you’ll work together with a small group of photographers, focusing entirely on your own project. Five days full of creativity, feedback, inspiration—and not to forget—delicious lunches, will help you make real progress and develop a clearer vision of your work.

The program includes both studio and field days, with plenty of space for personal guidance and exchange between participants. I’ll be present throughout the week to support you in this process. Whether you’re feeling stuck or full with ideas, we’ll work together—with your fellow photographers as well—to find the right direction and focus. We’ll wrap up the week with an inspiring presentation of your work, followed by some drinks.

Who is this week for?
Anyone who wants to seriously commit to a photography project is welcome! It doesn’t matter if you’re just getting started with a project and your goal is to clarify your concept, or if you’ve been working on a project for a while and want to use this week to fully focus and bring it to completion. Whatever your theme may be, the most important thing is that you’re motivated to dive in and make real progress in your work.

F.A.Q.

Can I join with any type of photography project?
Yes! The only requirement is that you’re able to take meaningful steps during this week. If your next step involves traveling abroad to shoot, this workshop might not be ideal. If you're unsure whether your project is a good fit, feel free to contact me and we’ll figure it out together.

I want to improve my photography skills but don’t have a project—can I still join?
If you’re mainly looking to learn more about photography itself rather than working on a specific project, the Summer School: Analog Portrait Photography might be a better fit for you.
